Mid-Autumn Festival Lantern Exhibitions 2012

Hong Kong has several Lantern Exhibitions for every Mid-Autumn Festival. This year I visited Tsim Sha Tsui and Victoria Park. Here's my photo sharing.

There are 38 photos in this article, all taken by me. Enjoy.

Place: Tsim Sha Tsui, outside the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
Theme: Terracotta Warriors of the Qin Dynasty
Exhibition Date: the 13th of September to the 21st of October
Time: 6:30pm to 11:00pm

Place: Victoria Park
1st spot: Enjoy the three minutes performance of light and music in this durian-like building.

2nd spot: There are lovely Chinese characters, including the Moon Lady. This part is the most colorful one.

3rd spot: Visitors crowded in front of the stage to watch the pamphlet show.

4th spot: Take photos and leave a few words here.

5th spot: Dragon lantern.

6th spot: Booths that sell things. Some merchandise is culture-related.

This year the exhibition scale is smaller in many locations. The exhibitions are not crowd. It is easier to take photos. If you pick Victoria Park, don't miss two other interesting places for Halloween.

Windsor

You will see four Disney characters: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Pluto in Halloween costume.

Times Square

Tim Burton's fan or not, take a look at Frankenweenie at Times Square. You may want to take photos with some of the residents in this graveyard. Enjoy the behind scene photos and the film clip as well.

  1. I love the Chinese characters. Very colorful, indeed. And I thought I was seeing the characters from The Corpse Bride in the last set of photos. Interesting share.
